PERCEIVING THE INFINITE: ¿DO YOU HAVE PSYCHIC GIFTS?

It is said that psychic experiences are a natural part of our everyday lives, but we often have difficulty accepting that we are blessed with such abilities it is very difficult to identify the psychic sights, sounds and sensations from the unconscious mind. To some extent, every human being on the planet is clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient, although most people discover that they are naturally adept at one more than the others.

Clairvoyance, or clear seeing, is the ability to see with the mind’s eye. An individual who has honed their clairvoyant abilities may be able to see in their mind’s eye events in a remote location; to witness incidents that have yet to occur; or to perceive shapes, colors, and other images that are physically invisible. Clairaudience, which means clear listening, is the ability to hear sounds not physically audible. A person with the gift of clairaudience perceives psychic information as auditory resonance and may hear angelic voices, music, or other sounds. A clairsentient, or clear feeling, individual is able to sense physical, emotional, and spiritual energy in the form of seemingly unearthly scents, touches, and movements. Each of these psychic abilities can manifest themselves within us voluntarily or involuntarily. It is natural for us to have these abilities; we need only practice.

Developing your psychic talents is a matter of releasing your fear of seeing, hearing, or feeling inexplicable or disquieting stimulus. Before you attempt to consciously tap into your gifts, ground yourself to anchor your mind in the present to disconnect from any involuntary psychic experiences you may be having. Concentrate on your intuitive responses to the world around you and notice any sights, sounds, or feelings that enter your mind. If you trust your perceptions, you’ll discover that each psychic impression you receive will be in some way relevant to your experience—even when that relevance may not be immediately recognizable.

Owning and tuning in to your clairvoyant abilities can add dimension to your experience of the world. There are realities that exist beyond the physical one, and your clairvoyance allows you to see into other realms, vision the past, and intuit the future. Your clairvoyance allows you to see the possibilities in the future rather than predict it. It also allows you to tune in to what exists beyond the realm of your five senses. The more you own and exercise your clairvoyance, the more powerful your clairvoyant skills will become. Tune in to the world with your clairvoyance today, and you will open yourself to a magical life.

¿ARE YOU A SINNER THAT’S A HOMOSEXUAL OR A HOMOSEXUAL THAT SINS?

I was reading THEOLOGY NOW BLOG the other day and while reading this entry, the idea to write today’s entry hit me. Like he said, Many Christians are in the "hate the sin, love the sinner" camp when it comes to homosexuality. They follow a bible that says, “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them” (Leviticus 20:13). Though the bible also lists several other 'sins' punishable by death, they seem fixated on that one. Now the interesting thing for me is MANY of us gay men AND women share their feelings…you LOVE being gay, but HATE that you are?

Many of us try to find some middle ground by lending their time, talents, and financial support to churches that place us in such a moral position. Without us, many churches would be but a mere shadow of themselves. How is it that we have allowed them to do this to us? How did we become good enough to do God’s work, but NOT good enough to go to heaven? I say we allowed them to make us feel this way because we feel like they’ve given us a choice when they REALLY haven’t.

We’ve been HATED for SO long that THE VERY LIVES we live only gives us misery AND despair. Those of us who are wondering in the dark can’t help but see ourselves as two things: A SINNER & A HOMOSEXUAL. We have yet come to understand that the place we should seek comfort is in ourselves first AND foremost. So for homosexual men AND women who have yet to REALLY know who they are, can you tell me where you stand? ARE YOU A SINNER THAT’S HOMOSEXUAL or A HOMOSEXUAL THAT SINS? I don’t see a middle ground for you as long as you ONLY give yourselves the options THEY handed down to you…

I'M YOUR ANGEL

"I'm Your Angel" is a duet by Céline Dion and R. Kelly from Dion's These Are Special Times album and Kelly's R. album. It was released on November 9, 1998.[1] The song was written and produced by R. Kelly. The single was very successful, reaching number 1 in the United States and was certified platinum by the RIAA.[2][3] The single also reached the top 5 in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The single was very successful in the United States and worldwide. It debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent six weeks at the top. It spent also twelve weeks at number 1 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks. The song also reached number 1 on the Hot 100 Singles Sales for six weeks and number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay. The single also became a top 10 hit in various European countries, including the United Kingdom,[6] Ireland,[7] Switzerland,[8] the Netherlands,[9] and Sweden.[10]

I'm Your Angel has sold 1,415,000 copies in the United States alone and was certified platinum by the RIAA. In addition, the single was certified gold in Australia for 35,000 copies chipped and silver in the United Kingdom for 265,000 copies shipped.[11][12]

The single was nominated at the 41st Grammy Awards for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals,[13] but lost to I Still Have That Other Girl, by Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach.[14]

The song was included later on Dion's greatest hits albums; All the Way… A Decade of Song and My Love: Essential Collection. It was also performed by her live during the Let's Talk About Love Tour (included on the Au cœur du stade DVD) and the Taking Chances Tour. "I'm Your Angel" appeared also on R. Kelly's compilation album, The R. in R&B Collection, Vol. 1 in 2003.

So I figured since the overall theme of my blog is giving you soft place to land, I thought this song was just PERFECT! As the year winds down and the day-to-day demands take their toll on our well-being, isn’t it nice knowing that you have an angel looking out for you? Knowing that someone care enough to give you that I can breathe there…I can relax there mantra is the best feeling in the world.

OLDIE, BUT GOODIE: GAY IS OUR PURPOSE...

OUR LIVES ARE DETERMINED BY KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT OUR PURPOSE IS & THE EVENTS THAT SHAPE OUR ENTIRE BEING. Human beings, by their very nature, are made for a purpose. Much like the sun rising in the east and setting in the west, the rain falling to the earth and air that we breathe; we ALL have a purpose. We all have similar interests, ideals, or aspirations and together we build our communities and societies. As much as the world would LOVE to think or believe, WE THE HOMOSEXUALLY INCLINED, serve a PURPOSE and have a LEGITIMATE reason for our being here on this earth. We are BLESSED with a LIFE less ORDINARY, we give HETEROSEXUALITY its TRUE meaning; much like how GOOD cannot exist without EVIL we go hand-in-hand. Our PURPOSE may not be acknowledged by society but we all know that it cannot be denied. OUR PURPOSE is filled with pivotal events that define us as UNIQUE and SPECIAL BEINGS; we REDEFINE the entire landscape of SEXUALITY. AS A HOMOSEXUAL, I KNOW THAT I WAS MADE FOR MAN BECAUSE I AM TOO STRONG FOR A WOMAN. I recognize my GREATNESS and PURPOSE and because of this, we stand apart from the rest of the world. OUR GREATNESS moves the world and this is why they HATE and DESPISE us. When they encounter us, something in them is SHAKEN and STIRRED because WE represent the part of their whole that is missing. It is such a pity that they cannot seem to understand that by ACCEPTING OUR GREATNESS, they can accept their own. We cannot survive without each other and it crazy that they believe that they can…I AM GAY WITH PURPOSE…ARE YOU?

SEX: ¿WHO IS IN CONTROL?

So the other day I am on MSN and I got a message from an unknown person. My normal reaction is to chat with anyone that hit me up and try to establish some sort of communication with them. As the session moved pass the typical questions…ASL, WHAT AREA YOU LIVE, ARE YOU A TOP/BOTTOM? Etc. Upon chatting with this young man, I realized that one of our MAJOR problems is that gay men are NOT IN CONTROL OF THEIR SEX! After I point out where his questions were leading, he told me that he isn’t just looking for sex, and he wants the entire man that comes along with it. Now I understand that, but when I think of the MANY gay men that wheel N’ deal, it becomes SO obvious that we are what we repeatedly do…SEX is NOT just an act that takes us to that mental AND emotional place, it becomes a habit.

When I think of the sex stories that were told to me by gay men, I can’t help but feel a sense of loss AND pain. SO many of them met each other, didn’t have an ounce of feeling for each other, but since they both are there, they give into sex like they have NO control over it. I guess choosing to engage in the moment creates a GREATER sense of fulfillment…right? I understand the dynamics of how we do what we do, but we do what we do like it isn’t apart of us. AND THAT’S SCARY…

Every thought sex makes us think, every action we take because of it shows that it is controlling us. This shows that we CANNOT value another because we CANNOT value ourselves. If we can treat ourselves as a beautiful sexual being, then and ONLY then we can develop a strong control over sex AND our sexuality. The sexual encounters we have during our lifetime will ULTIMATELY affect our lives…it is up to us to decide which outcome we want for ourselves.

Sex is about the independent spirit being able to break free from the confines of our psyche. We need to connect with the essence of our spiritual selves and bring a powerful sense of enrichment and freedom to our lives. So if we are not one with ourselves when we have sex then we will continue to compulsively have sex without control. Sex cannot AND will not validate our self-worth if we cannot connect with it. Giving AND receiving are so intimately intertwined in sex, so if we have one without the other then we have…?

Though our intention starts out purely, we mar the beautiful experience of sex by focusing on what we are trying to receive in return. To FULLY integrate sex into our lives, we have to NOT give into it so we can be in control of it. And In a world of six billion people, it’s easy to believe that the way we do what we do is okay…but as a gay man, I am tired of sex treating us like stones dropped into still waters. Yes there is a ripple, but then what? The impact sends out energy that sex is the master and we are the slave…I know that we are all @ different stages of life, and I am not telling anyone how much they should have, all I want is that we find ourselves in control as we go through the motions…

JUST CONTRIBUTING TO THE COLLECTIVE…

I view my blog as my way of contributing to the collective. Every day I try to find ways of giving that word of encouragement and help others expand their awareness of themselves and the world around them…And just recently I got a message from a young man that just wanted a little guidance…a friend who could help him help himself. And as I was chatting with ever SO REAL PIMUSIQUE, I told him about the young man and he told me he would be more than glad to be a BIG brother to him. It did my soul good as I am SO far away from him. Pimusique reminded me that NOTHING happens by accident and that our conversation today was not by accident. We connected on a spiritual level and now we are pooling our resource to help one of the little ones. This connect got me thinking about starting some sort of BIG GAY BROTHER PROGRAM for the ones that come after us…How do you feel about lending your contribution to the collective?

SOURCE: UNAIDS 2009 AIDS Epidemic Update

Ahead of this year’s World AIDS Day, United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon, the World AIDS Campaign, and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS have come together to announce the theme of “Universal Access and Human Rights.”

The theme has been chosen to address the critical need to protect human rights and attain access for all to HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support. It also acts as a call to countries to remove laws that discriminate against people living with HIV, women, and marginalized groups. Countries are also urged to realize the many commitments they made to protect human rights in the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS (2001) and the Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS (2006). Speaking ahead of the announcement at the U.N. in New York City, Michel Sidibé, executive director of UNAIDS, said, "Achieving universal access to prevention, treatment, care, and support is a human rights imperative. It is essential that the global response to the AIDS epidemic is grounded in human rights and that discrimination and punitive laws against those most affected by HIV are removed.”

Many countries still have laws and policies that impede access to HIV services and criminalize those most vulnerable to HIV. These include laws that criminalize men who have sex with men, transgender people, and lesbians; laws that criminalize sex workers; and laws criminalizing people who use drugs and the harm-reduction measures and substitution therapy they need. Some 84 countries have reported that they have laws and policies that act as obstacles to effective HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support for vulnerable populations.

Speaking from Cape Town, South Africa, World AIDS Campaign executive director Marcel van Soest said, “The epidemic has not gone away, tens of millions of people are still affected, but those hit the hardest, the poor and marginalized in society, often don’t have a say when big decisions and laws are made. Their fundamental right to essential health care and life free from fear of stigma and discrimination must be strengthened. Governments continue to pass and enforce overly broad laws that criminalize the transmission of HIV which are in direct contradiction to their commitments to promote…a social and legal environment that is supportive of safe and voluntary disclosure of HIV status.”

Some 59 countries still have laws that restrict the entry, stay, and residence of people living with HIV based on their positive HIV status only, discriminating against them in their freedom of movement and right to work. At the same time, laws and regulations protecting people with HIV from discrimination and women from gender inequality and sexual violence are not fully implemented or enforced.

WILL YOU HELP FIT IN THE PIECES OF THE HIV PUZZLE TODAY, TOMORROW & THE DAY AFTER THAT &...?
