YES! And the world is flat with the sun revolving around us. The Inquisition was all about saving souls. The Jesuits followed ALL of God's commandments and the Aztecs, Incas and Mayans weren't slaughtered and enslaved by the same missionaries who were supposed to convert them. The Slave Trade and Middle Passage never happened and all little boys are safe with their priests. Didn't his minions aid the Hutus in Rwanda? Please, don't get me started...And his experience with sex is...?

ReplyDeleteI agree with him. HIV/AIDS is ultimately an Ethical problem. I'm not sure if it "demands" a global response from the church, especially when people in the church are also HIV/AIDS victims as well. I can appreciate him speaking on the prevention of AIDS, and not (fully) condemning homosexuality.

ReplyDeleteUmm, he needs to shut the F&*@ up! First of all the problem goes way beyond ethics. It is grounded in abnormal psychology from a distorted sense of love, childhoold rape and molestation and other such elements that grow on the seedier side of family life.
ReplyDeleteSecond of all the Church cannot even help the souls of the "normal" people, what the hell are they going to do for HIV/AIDS folk except throw some bible tracts at them?
