¿WHEN HOOKING UP?

WHAT MATTERS MOST WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO 'HOOK UP' WITH A GUY?

HIS DICK SIZE....

¿OR?

...HIS HIV STATUS

REVIEW OF THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU

The Adjustment Bureau, is a further renewal of my faith in Hollywood, in its creativity and originality. It presents the first original and out of the box concept since Christopher Nolan's Inception (2010) and incidentally is also sci-fi ( though more of the sci-fi romance genre) of predestination versus free will. Which dictates our and lives and can both of them co-exist?

GAY MEN & ANAL SEX

According to Steven Gregory Underwood, author of Gay Men and Anal Eroticism, roughly three-fourths of gay men have had anal sex at one time or another throughout their lives. Now, assuming these men continue having anal sex, that leaves a quarter of all gay men that have either never tried or no longer have anal. That's a lot of gay men that aren't into anal sex. Why? There could be a number of reasons:

·         Personal taste. Some guys may have tried anal only to discover that they find no pleasure in topping or bottoming. Those that have never tried anal may continue to have no desire to participate.

·         Stigma. There are stigmas associated with men who have anal sex with other men. The top is often thought to be the dominant partner while the bottom is considered the more submissive. This isn't always true. So, anal sex can pose a problem to, say, a bottom that doesn't want to be seen as or feel like the "weaker" or less dominate man.

·         Anxiety. There are more letters in the STD alphabet soup than any of us would like. The risk of contracting an STD, from the most treatable to the incurable, causes quite a bit of anxiety. Anal sex can be a pathway to many fears, so some feel it's better to abstain than engage.

·         Feelings. Anal penetration is one of our closest physical connections. Many prefer there be feelings associated with that level of closeness. So, some men abstain from anal unless they have an emotional connection with their partner.

Sex is personal. So much so, that preferences, pleasures, desires, wants and needs vary by the individual. Our sexuality, which includes all of the things just mentioned, changes as we experience and grow. What we like today may not be what we're into tomorrow.

¡THEY DIDN'T SEE ME COMING!

Isn’t funny how we are not always meant to know the deeper meaning of certain occurrences and need only move forward in life? I ask this question because for 8 months I’ve been employed next door to the last full time job I had. I see my old manager from time to time and each time she acknowledges me, but hurries herself away. The owner of the company had a look of shock on his face when he saw me dressed in a shirt and tie headed to my car after work one day (I suppose he didn’t think that I was capable of finding another company that’s quite like his) it doesn’t matter to me either way because I’ve processed and released them a while ago. However I did find myself wondering why I wasn’t given a REAL chance to prove myself on that job, why didn’t she give herself a chance to find out that I am a hard AND dedicated worker that cracks jokes to keep the office going? It is SO weird that I can remember having difficulty being unaffected by her behavior, that I had to breathe deeply and remind yourself that I didn’t do anything wrong, and I am NOT responsible for people’s feelings.

RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE, SEASON 3: EPISODE 6 - FACE, FACE, FACE OF CAKES

"RuPaul's Drag Race" took the contest to new catty heights as the queens took off more than their earrings to battle it out on Monday's (Feb. 28) episode.

BORN THIS WAY

The wait is now over - the video for the new gay anthem "Born This Way" is here. But before we get to the video let's think about the song. Born This Way[the single] is a celebration of being and loving who you are. The lyrics and vocals are just powerful. The chorus starts
"I'm beautiful in my way,
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way "
What a testament to those who feel like they aren't good enough that they have shortcomings or those who feel there is no place for them in this world
I love that this song is number one on Billboard's Hot 100 chart [1,000th #1 single] and still number one on iTunes [fastest selling single on iTunes ever]. When has there been a song with lyrics:
"No matter gay, straight or bi
lesbian, transgendered life
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born to survive "
at the top of music charts in the USA - simply never.
There have been some comparison of this song with Madonna's "Express yourself" I do feel that the beats to both songs are similar and the theme of loving yourself is throughout both pieces but the lyrics to "Born this Way" go deeper it's about a fight, a resistance, a rite it's about those who the world would want to beat down but won't stay down.
I love the video but I must admit the birthing parts are a bit too much for me: something about slime and vagina just doesn't resonate - it's been quite a while since my own birth - needless to say I haven't gone back.
I love the choreography in this video Laurie Ann Gibson does a great job - I do feel like I've seen this somewhere - parts of it flows like ice skating or ballroom dancing to me: it gives the feel of ballet dancers dancing around on a stage.
I like the wardrobe [or lack thereof] I feel Lady Gaga would be naked if it wouldn't have been censored. The alien queen costume is wonderful.
The video is showing the presence of duality in the world [the good & the evil] at the introduction / narrative of the video she says "How can I protect something so perfect without evil?" that statement makes me: really think and we all know there is a lot of evil that has been done in the name of good in this history of this world.
The crotch play in this video is unlimited from giving birth to a machine gun to remembering Michalel Jackson. Gaga also pays tribute to Madonna and fashion designer Thierry Muglar - below photo is from Muglar's recent show - we see that Gaga has been inspired by designer's work & by his accounts he is inspired by her in his work
Did I mention the strawberry blonde hair? That's evil
"Born this Way" [the album] will be released May 23, 2011
